Acushnet – Jacob A. Sounik, 24, of Acushnet passed away unexpectedly at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River on July 30, 2017.
Mr. Sounik was born in New Bedford, son of Kathy (Sounik) Holmstrom and Anthony Vangel, and was a lifelong resident of Acushnet. He was employed as a packer by Amazon, Fall River. He enjoyed listening to music, wrestling and was an avid Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins fan.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepfather: Paul R. Holmstrom; his sister: Savanna K. Holmstrom; his fiancée: Alicia M. Lewicki; his daughter: Rebecca M. Letourneau; his maternal grandparents: Jerry F. and Susanne Y. (Bertrand) Sounik; his paternal grandmother: Jo-Ann (Bender) Vangel; his stepbrother: Joshua A. Swanbeck; and numerous aunts & uncles.
He was grandson of the late Richard Vangel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial visiting hours at the Kirby Funeral Home, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford on Monday, 6-8 P.M.
Burial will be private.
