Edward R. Stanley, 67 of East Bridgewater died, August 1, at New England Sinai Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Sandra Stanley for 17 years.
He was born in Haverhill, son of James and Barbara McCorkle of Florida.
Ed was a truck driver for many years with IPC before retiring. He loved golfing, playing pool and best of all being with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Sandra, he was the father of Sarah Davis and Ryan Stanley. Step father to Bill Ashmont and Wendy Cavicchi. Brother of the late James, Joseph and Raymond Stanley, and the late Michael McCorkle. He is also survived by his brothers Russell Stanley and Jay McCorkle. Wonderful grandfather to 7 loving grandchildren Isabella, Sofia, Hannah, Chloe, Jessica, Cameron and Brandon.
Visiting hours Friday, August 4th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.( Rt 58 at the rotary) Whitman. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Center in his memory.
