Patricia J. (Simmons) McKay, 70, of New Bedford died Tuesday July 25, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Jeanne L. (Heroux) Simmons of New Bedford and the late Manuel B. Simmons, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Patricia was formerly employed as an Administrative Assistant at Newbury College. She loved to knit, read, play Bingo and shop on QVC, and loved going to the beach.
Survivors include her mother; two daughters, Dina A. Perruca of Virginia and Sandi B. Reis and her husband Buddy of New Bedford; a sister, Bethany Burnette and her husband Presley of New Bedford; six grandchildren, Justin Perruca, Brittney Paitsel and her husband Luke, Brianne Reis, Kyle Reis, Madison Reis and Rylie Riggin; two nieces, Raven and Michaela Tetreault; and several other nieces and nephews,
She was the lifetime companion of the late Romeo Lizotte and sister of the late Sandra Astleford.
