James Warren Bailey, 84, of Tifton passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Bailey at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Ronnie Massey will officiate.
Neal Wynn, Matt Wynn, Ken Youngblood, Tim Owens, Richie Williams and Garrick Lamb will serve as pallbearers.
Born March 28, 1933 in Worth County, Mr. Bailey was the son of the late Warren Bailey and Doll Massey Youngblood. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Truelove Bailey; one son, Jimmy "James" Bailey; one step-daughter, Peggy Owens; and two brothers, Kenneth Youngblood and Alonzo Youngblood. He was a member of Carpenter Road Church of God.
Mr. Bailey is survived by one step-son, Wayne Lamb and wife, Betty of Rebecca; one step son-in-law, Mark Owens of Tifton, three daughters, Glenda Funderburk and husband, Ed of Molena, Betty Ann Medlen of Ellaville and Cathy Baremo and husband, Tony of Texas; one step-daughter, Brenda Hearn of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Y. and Jimmy Wynn of Sycamore; a sister-in-law, Lucille Youngblood of Hawkinsville; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
