Reginald J. Rico, of Abington, passed on July 27th at the Colony Nursing Home, after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Evelyne (Prizio) Rico.
He was born in Boston in 1934, the only son of the late Reginald Rico and Anne (Flaherty) Rico of Dorchester.
He graduated from B.C. High School in 1951. He joined the U.S. Army in 1954. Reggie went on starting his own photography business “Formative Years”.
All who knew him will remember him with a smile on their face along with his huge smile, songs silly jokes and true stories. Always seeing the good in a person “always”.
In addition to his wife, Evelyne, he is survived by his children Karen Rico of ME, Jim Rico of WV, and John Rico of MA. Brother to Anna J. Cummings of OH, brother in law to Jim Prizio of MA. Loving grandfather to Tara, Lexi, Jillian and Scott, great - grandfather to Danielle, Julia and Westley Olivia along with many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral services on Friday Aug 4th at 10:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (route 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 3rd from 4-8 p.m.
