Obituary

Garold James “Jim” Saddler Jr. was born on April 17th, 1966, in Prosser, Washington to Garold James Saddler Sr. and Anna Louise Saddler (Harris) and went home to be with his Lord at his home in Prosser on July 23rd, 2017.

He was the first born of two sons and the ever typical older brother. As a young boy he lived with his family in Kennewick and eventually moved back to his hometown of Prosser. He attended school in Prosser and met his future wife, Joella in high school. They were married in 1983 in Utah and had two children before separating. Jim spent time working and living in Moxee with his brother, Brad, and eventually moved back to his hometown where he stayed for the remainder of his life.

Jim had many passions, one being working out and lifting weights with a little 80’s rock and roll blaring in the background. He loved spending time with his nephews working out, running, and spending time at the gym. He enjoyed the competition and trying to out-lift some of the younger Saddler generation. He also enjoyed riding his bike and pushing himself to go farther than he did the previous ride. This included a time when he had to break down and ask for a ride after riding 60 plus miles out of town. We teased him about that for some time. He always wanted to see how much better he could get.

In his younger years, he enjoyed trap shooting with his dad, Garold “Jim” Sr. They traveled around to different locations and collected more belt buckles than any two men would ever need. It was one of Jim’s favorite things to do with his dad.

During his life there was nothing that made him happier than being with his grandchildren. He would spend time trying to think of new adventures that they could go on together and would be giddy to come over and tell them what the next adventure would be. They spent time exploring more of Prosser than anyone knew existed. He instilled in them a passion for life and spending time outdoors and trying their best. He spent the last six months as their biggest cheerleader during summer sports and we are grateful for the wonderful memories.

He is survived by his mother, Anna Saddler (Harris) and his brother Brad Saddler (Cheryl), all of Prosser; his children Garold “Jimmy” Saddler (Jessica), Millesa “Lesa” Park (Peter) and Courtney Basham (Sam). HIs nephews and nieces Brad Saddler Jr. (Brittany), Alyssa Trumble (Tyler), Casey Saddler (Shanita), Jamison Saddler (Sierra), Anthony Anderson, and Stephanie Anderson.

He is also survived by his greatest treasures, his grandchildren, Jimmy Park, Spencer Saddler, Bentley Park, Cason Saddler, Harper Park, and a new baby Park that he couldn’t wait for. He was loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Garold James “Jim” Saddler Sr.

He will be greatly missed but we know he is in Heaven with his Savior to whom he gave his heart many years ago. We know we will see him again and that he is free from this world.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5th at Friendship Baptist Church in Prosser. You may leave a message for the family at www.Prosserfuneralhome.com
