Elsie L. (Storkfelt) Gleichauf, 88, of Walpole formerly of Norwood and Sharon,
died peacefully July 28th. She was the wife of the late Herbert E. Gleichauf who died
in 2006.
Born in Norwood, October 20,1928, the daughter of the late Richard and Dagmar
(Larsen) Storkfelt, Mrs. Gleichauf was raised in Sharon and had lived for many
years in Norwood prior to moving to Walpole in 1968.
A graduate of Sharon High School, Elsie was known for her love of animals, beautiful crocheted gifts and pride in her Danish heritage.
She is survived by her children, Edward P. Gleichauf and his wife Sandra of Boston, Joan F. Sutherland and her husband Alexander of Franklin and Gary R. Gleichauf and his wife Cynthia of Franklin.
She is the sister of Grethe Reddick of Easton and Elaine Leedham and her husband Steven of Duxbury.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, David Sutherland, Nicole and her husband Christopher Wetmore, Kurt and Heidi Gleichauf and her great-grandchildren, Julia and Sophia Wetmore.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 31st in the Ginley Funeral Home of
Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin from 4-8 p.m.
A memorial service will be held on August 18 in the First Congregational Church of Sharon at 2:00p.m.
