Obituary

Danahy, Paul C., 95, was called home to his Heavenly Father on July 26, 2017 at his home, with his loving daughter by his side.

Paul worked for Local 502 as a Pipefitter for 64 years, and at Seagram’s some 38 years. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, serving in WWII in the Philippines, a KY Colonel, and was the Patriarch of the family. “Mr. Paul” sat on his front porch every day and greeted the neighbors as they drove by.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 59 years, Lillian “Nina” (Childs); and his fur baby Lulu.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Jeannie DeSpain, and Marilynn Bluhm (Gary); known as Pampa by all his grandchildren: Chris Lovorn (Saundra), Renee Price (Robert), Charisse Mook (Ken), Tonya and Todd; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; and his fur baby Lily.

Thank you to his loving caregivers: Joanne, Kim, and Linda; and his Hosparus team: Robin, Amy, Marie, and Tiffany.

Funeral Services will be Monday 11:00 AM at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is Sunday 2:00-6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may go to Hosparus of Louisville.
