FALL RIVER – Mary Leah (Velozo) Facchiano, age 94 of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Fall River Jewish Home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John Facchiano and the daughter of the late John & Guimar (Mello) Velozo. Prior to retiring, Mary worked as a Nursing Home Assistant Cook. She was also a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church. She loved dancing, sewing, and playing bingo, but most of all loving and caring for her family.
Survivors include her children: Gail Conroy of Hilliard, OH, John Facchiano Jr (wife Karen) of Assonet, Anthony Facchiano (wife Jodie), Michael Facchiano (wife Jean), and Norma Greene all of Fall River; her siblings: Irene Rezendes of Fall River, Myra Ferreira of FL, & Jim Velozo of Somerset; her 9 grandchildren: Chad Conroy, Kara Russo, Jillian Unda, Jenna Facchiano, Nicholas Facchiano, Robert W. Greene, Alyssa Facchiano, Joel Greene, & Hannah Facchiano; her 9 great grandchildren: Darion, Brady, Avery, Amber, Owen, Nathan, Cameron, Haley, & Gwen; many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Henry, John, Larry, & David Velozo, Norma Pereira.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 with Visitation from 9-10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 11:00 A.M. Private Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fall River Jewish Home, 538 Robeson St. Fall River, MA 02720.
