Gary A. Southerland, 55, of Anderson, Ind. was born August 29, 1961, to the late Sam and Janice Southerland, passed away on July 12, 2017 following an extended illness.
Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed going fishing, watching old Western T. V. shows, and going to Anderson Speedway.
Survivors include his soul mate of 34 years, Debbie Southerland, children, Eric (Jara) Southerland, Shaun (Danielle) Southerland, Jamie (Josh) Shepherd, Karen Ebbert, Chad (Christina) Oshier, Lee (Jamie) Oshier and Josh Ebbert; grandchildren: Allison, Autumn, Jourdan, Corbin Southerland, Bentley and Lillian Shepherd, Austin (Karissa) Russell, Joshua Ebbert, Jr., Will, Anna Oshier, Jeffrey, Kya, Arya Oshier; great grandchildren, Hayden and Cartter Russell; siblings, Linda (Harold) Jackson; Bill Raison, Sam (Cindy) Southerland, Larry Southerland, Vicki Davidson, Carol Blakely and John (Becky) Southerland; aunt Sharon Huff; uncle Don Raison; mother-in-law, Patty Cook, brother-in-law, Red Cook; sisters in-law, Julie (Todd) Norris and Sandy (Kirk) Bennett; several nieces and nephews; a host of special friends including best friend, Gary (Cathy) Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Dale Cook, Sr., two brothers, (Rickie and Douglas), a sister, Debbie; brother-in-law, Randy and sister-in-law, Lorra.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service location with Harold Jackson officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
