FALL RIVER… Bernadette B. (Bouchard) Yergeau, 91, of Westport passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Fall River Jewish Home.
She was the loving wife of the late Leonard C. “Lenny” Yergeau.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Dorilda (Bernier) Bouchard and was a lifelong resident of Westport.
Mrs. Yergeau was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport and worked for 30 years as a Box Maker for the former Highpoint Paper Box in Fall River, boxed shoes at the former Frank Nunes Shoes in Taunton, worked as a dietary aide at Catholic Memorial Home and housekeeping at St. Anne’s Credit Union. She enjoyed playing Bingo, cross word puzzles and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Janice Barrette and her husband Raymond of Westport, 2 grandchildren, Christine Silvia and her husband Mike of Westport and Joshua Barrette and his wife Vanessa of West Wareham, 5 great grandchildren, Michael, Ryan & Liam Silvia and Benjamin & Jacob Barrette, several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Germaine Gardner, Antoinette Salois, Beatrice Bork, Ernest, William and Ronald Bouchard.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Fall River Jewish Home for the loving care that was given to Memere.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 9 AM from the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 569 Sanford Rd. Westport, MA. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5 - 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernadette’s name can be made to the Fall River Jewish Home, 538 Robeson St. Fall River, MA 02720.
