Richard R. Pinard
Auburn– Richard R. Pinard, 69, died July 21, 2017 at the Elliot Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on November 15, 1947 the son of Robert E. and Madeleine (Mercier) Pinard.
He served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1965 to 1969.
He worked at the Union Leader and later was a Lithographer for Spectrum and Eastern Rainbow.
He was the Commander of Merrill Follansbee American Legion Post 37 as well as a member of Henry J. Sweeney Post 2.
He was also a longtime parishioner of St. Peter Church in Auburn.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Sarah Pinard in July of 1979.
Family members include his wife of 46 years, Gilberte J.(Cournoyer) Pinard of Auburn, one son, Kevin M. Pinard and his wife, Jodi of Hooksett, three daughters, Rebecca Pouliot and her husband of Robert, of Raymond, Katherine Pinard, Amanda Pinard, both of Auburn, four grandchildren, Brianna Pouliot, Brandon Pouliot, Sarah Pinard, Abigail Pinard, three nieces, Lisa, Laurie, Amy, one sister-in-law, Lucy Boulter and her husband, Robert of Hampton, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 4 to 7 pm at the J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Peter Church, Auburn.
Committal prayers with military honors will follow in the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
