Donna May (Wilson) Ross, age 63, wife of the late Alan E. Ross Sr., passed on July 18, 2017 at the Alden Court Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Center in Fairhaven surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Acute Myleoid Leukemia.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Bertram "Boots" Wilson and the late Gwendolyn "Babe" (Finch) Wilson. She was educated in the Taunton School system.
A resident of Fairhaven, formerly of Acushnet, she was a homemaker for most of her adult life. She enjoyed bargain shopping, camping and fishing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was the mother of Alan E. Ross, Jr. of South Dartmouth; Timothy B. Ross and his Wife Heather of Fall River; Kelly L. Ross of Fall River and Megan A. Ross and her companions Patrick Stapleton and Ariel Jeronymo; all of Fairhaven. She is also predeceased by her son David A. Ross.
She was the sister of George R. Wilson and his wife Ruth of East Taunton; Carol A. Scanlon and her husband Raymond of Taunton, Linda L. Ouellette and her husband James of W. Wareham; and the late Wayne L. Wilson, Nancy Wilson and Bertram Wilson, Jr.
Also surviving are her six grandchildren; Cameron Stapleton, Makaela Helley, Jaron Stapleton, Meadow Helley, Mason Helley and Harmony May Ross and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 3 to 6 pm with a funeral home service to begin at 5:30 pm, in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Additional parking with full handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.
Donna’s burial will take place on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11 am in Pleasant St Cemetery , Raynham. Family and friends may assemble in the parking area at the Silva Funeral Home at 10:15 am and follow in procession to the cemetery.
