Bennie Morris Giddens, 78, of Tifton passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be held for Mr. Giddens at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Eldorado, where he will be laid to rest. Rev. Corey Thompson will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 20, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born October 14, 1938 in Adel, Mr. Giddens was the son of the late Gordon Green Giddens and Lovie Mae Bell Pafford Giddens. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Faye Wisham Giddens, who passed away in October 2016. Before retiring, he was a supervisor at Dixie Oil Company and Environmental Supervisor at Tift Regional Medical Center. He loved his wife and family and loved doing yard work. He had lived in Tifton for 51 years and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Giddens is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Amy Giddens of Wilmington, North Carolina, Ricky and Carla Giddens of Tifton and Marc and Katheryn Giddens of Signal Mountain, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Bradley Giddens, Kyle Giddens, Jared Giddens, Zachary Giddens, Jonathon Giddens, Emma Giddens, Brandy Cottle and Corey Thompson; and five great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Peyton, Piper, Jay and Davis.
