Mildred Irene (Lewis) Howard, 88, of Anderson died July 17, 2017 at Community Hospital in Anderson after a brief illness.
Mildred was born May 3, 1929 in Warsaw, Indiana the daughter of Ernest O. and Mary F. (Clark) Lewis.
She was a cashier at Matthews Super Market and then employed at Sears for many years until she retired.
She was a member of Bethany Christian Church. She enjoyed Girl's Day Out with her daughters and reading. She was very loved by her family.
She is survived by her four daughters: Linda Hartman, Barbara (Kevin) Eubanks Pam (Dan) Chandler and April (John) Hiday all of Anderson; her sister, Deloris "Sweet" Lockridge of Warsaw; seven grandchildren: Jeff Hartman, Heidi Miller, Chad Eubanks, Melissa Ray, Christopher Hiday, David Hiday and Amy Hiday; nine great-grandchildren: Anthony Hartman, Tyler Knotts, Eric Hartman, Emily Eubanks, Zac Miller, Ashley Eubanks, Philip Ray, Sarah Ray and Nathaniel Ray; five great great grandchildren: Felicity, Jaxson, Aiden, Ronnie, and Gabriel, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Elnora Richardson, brother Earl Lewis and son-in-law, Carl Hartman.
Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Kent Stookey officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
