Franklin A. Paul, 88, of Macon, Georgia, died Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Ocilla Cemetery in Ocilla with Pastor Joe McDaniel officiating. The family will receive friends at Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Mr. Paul was born October 20, 1928, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Dave & Lossie Mae Yarbrough Paul. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. Mr. Paul retired from Armstrong Cork Company in Macon after 35 years of service. He loved to fish and hunt and was an avid gardener, taking pride in the vegetables he grew for his friends and family. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his children and their spouses: Brenda & Sonny Ard of Macon and Randy & Connie Paul of Byron; a grandson, Chris Paul of Byron; a great-granddaughter, Kaili Paul of Byron; his sister, Edna Ring of Tifton; and a sister-in-law, Betty Paul of Macon. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He will also be greatly missed by his faithful Shih Tzu, O’Reilly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carlease Williams Paul; a daughter, Nelda Paul Kennedy; a grandson, Jesse Kyle Kennedy; and his brother, Alton Paul.
