WEBSTER – Jeannette A. (Bolduc) Rowe, 91, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge after a short illness. Her first husband of 48 years, Theodore N. “Ted” Desmarais, died in 1993. Her second husband, John A. Rowe, Sr., died in 2001.
She leaves 3 sons, Donald T. Desmarais and his wife Joan of CT, Dennis M. Desmarais of Orlando, FL, and Roger L. Desmarais and his companion Marta Garcia of Webster; a daughter, Adele J. Wheeler and her husband Gerald of Dudley; a step-son, John A. Rowe, Jr. and his wife Anna of South Norwalk, CT; a step-daughter, Eileen Somok and her husband Joseph of Southbury, CT; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Webster, one of the nine children of Clovis and Helen (Goulet) Bolduc. She attended Bartlett High School and graduated from Elizabeth Ollis School of Hair Design in Worcester. She lived in Jensen Beach, FL for several years.
Along with her first husband, Jeannette owned and operated Adele’s Beauty Salon on Main Street in Webster for 39 years. She retired in 1987.
Mrs. Rowe was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a member of its Ladies of Saint Anne Society. She also enjoyed playing cards at the Webster Senior Center.
The funeral will be held Saturday, July 22, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:00 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, July 21, in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to either the Ladies of Saint Anne, c/o Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 18 East Main Street or to the Webster Senior Center, 350 Main Street, both in Webster, MA 01570.
