Alexandria “Sandy” (Silvia) Lagace, age 82, of East Taunton, passed away on July 13, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Marcel “Roger” Lagace.
Alexandria was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Medeiros) Silvia.
Before retirement, Mrs. Lagace was the co owner of the former Andrea’s Beauty Shop, along with her sister Mary.
She was a Taunton High School graduate, Class of 1953, where she was also a majorette. She was a campaign coordinator for Representative Margaret Heckler for several years.
She was the loving mother of Francis and wife Jill Lagace of East Taunton, sister of Mary A. Casey of East Taunton, and Irene John of Shrewsbury. She was also the sister of the late Louise Cranmer, Frederick, Manual, and Edward Silvia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Sandy also leaves her constant companion, her cat Cheezit.
Alexandria’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 7:45 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) in Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in Holy Family Church Middleboro Ave, East Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 17th from 4 to 7 pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
