Wayne W. Wright, 63, of Franklin died July 12 at his home following an illness. He was the husband of Sue Ellen (Dyer) Wright who he had been married to for the past 31 years.
Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, March 19, 1954, the son of the late Clifford and Dolores (Noonan) Wright, Mr. Wright was raised in Hackensack and had lived in Medway for several years before moving to Franklin where he lived for the past 27 years.
He was a graduate of Medway High School.
After graduating from High School Wayne joined the Navy. He served for 6 years during the Vietnam War an attained the rank of Radioman Third Grade.
Following his time in the Navy he worked for several years as a deliveryman for PCF delivery services. Lately he had been an Uber driver.
Wayne was a Red Sox fan, he loved top 40 music, ten pin bowling, model railroads, drag cars and repairing his own car.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Katy Lynn Wright of Franklin.
He is also survived by his siblings, Clifford Wright, Jr. of Bellingham and Kathleen Gibson of Worcester.
He is also survived by his half brother John Mackay of New Jersey and was the brother of the late John Wright.
Wayne is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 18 in the Anglican Church of the Redeemer, 31 Hayward Street, Franklin at 9:30 a.m.
Burial will in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 2:00p.m.
