Frank J. Indoccio, 94, of Londonderry, NH died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Lawrence, MA on August 20, 1922 son of Gaetano and Grace (Penissi) Indoccio. Frank was raised in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School. He enlisted into the US Naval Service during WWII as a Merchant Seaman in Nov. 1942 and was honorably discharged Aug. 1944, serving as a radio operator. He married Adelaide Estelle (Bianco) and shared 48 wonderful years of marriage until her passing in Dec. 1992.
He married Rose (Bellofato) Indoccio in 1997 and they enjoyed 19 happy years of travel, dancing and love. Rose has three children who loved him like a father, Edward J. Brissette, Mark E. Brissette, Jennifer Lynn Brissette and her fiancee, Jarrod Maiorano.
Frank and Addie had four children, eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Daughter Susan (Indoccio) Tsetsilas, predeceased by Arthur Tsetsilas. Their children Arthur Timothy Tsetsilas, his wife Cathleen (McGadden) Tsetsilas, Shawn Tsetsilas and his wife Paula (Yphantes) Tsetsilas. Grandchildren Erika, Alexander, Sarah, Zoe, Nicholas, and Tyler Tsetsilas. Daughter Patricia (Indoccio) Goss and her husband James and their children Stephen Goss and his wife Bekka Wright, Joseph Goss and his wife Rachel Mentz and grandchildren Ian and Anna Goss. Son Thomas Indoccio, his significant other, Jamey Whitney, her daughter Sophia Whitney; his daughters Jennifer Indoccio, Kristi Poulin and her husband Eddie, Britteny Indoccio and grandchildren Jacklynn, Jenna, Derek, Dylan, Devin, Darrin and Jaevian. Daughter Jeanette Indoccio and her daughter Grace Bianca Indoccio-Kerr.
He and his four brothers opened and worked in the local Derry bakery Home Food Kitchen for many years. Later, they transitioned to the tile business Merrimac Tile Co. in which he was the co-founder and president until the present. It is currently operated in Hooksett, NH, where he worked three days a week until last December! Frank loved dancing, Italian cooking, the Red Sox and the Patriots. But most of all, he loved his huge family with a great big Italian heart! He skied with his family during the winter weekends at Loon Mountain, teaching all of his grandchildren the sport. In the summer, the weekends were spent at Salisbury Beach where he was a master griller and bocci player. It became a family ritual to climb the “reci” rock to pick and eat sea urchins and snails.
He was predeceased by siblings, Vito Indoccio, Vincent Indoccio, Benjamin Indoccio, Dolly (Vita) Ladato, and Frances Tomaselli. He is survived by his brother-in-law Guy Tomaselli.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, July 16th from 1 – 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, July 17th at 10:00am in the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. The burial followed in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
