Obituary

Doris D. (Dobson) Hatch, 61 of Medway, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Hatch for 37 years.

Born in Boston, MA on January 3, 1956 she was the daughter of the late Melvin “Gunk” and Katherine “Gammy” (Reynolds) Dobson. Doris grew up in Milton and graduated from Milton High School with the class of 1974. She received her RN degree from Laboure College in Milton. Doris worked as an RN for 22 years, spending 17 of them at Boston Medical Center where she was a case manager.

In her spare time Doris enjoyed going to Nantucket, especially during the Daffodil Festival and the Old Fashioned Christmas in Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard. The most important thing in her life was her loving family, which she loved to spend time with.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her three children, Ryan Hatch of Millis, Jillian Hatch of Bellingham, and Jared Hatch of Medway; her Siblings William Dobson and his wife Jane of Maine, Diane Celli and her husband Frank of Florida, Margie Gaul and her husband Mike of Middleboro, and Julie Hanly and her husband Steve of Kingston. She is also survived by her granddaughter Kailyn Hatch. In addition Doris leaves behind twelve nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Wednesday, July 19 at 10:30AM at the Medway Community Church, 193 Main Street, Medway.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8PM in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway.
