Maureen T. (Jordan) Jackson, age 86 of Salem, NH and formerly of Methuen passed away on July 10, 2017. Maureen was born in Lawrence on April 30, 1931 to the late Timothy and Nora (Collins) Jordan. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1948 and a long time employee of the IRS. For many years, Maureen also worked with nuns at the former Bon Secours Hospital, currently known as Holy Family Hospital. Maureen was a former communicant at St. Monica’s Parish of Methuen. She was an avid reader who loved spending time and vacationing at Seabrook Beach. Maureen was a very devoted fan of the New England Patriots, she never missed the opportunity to watch a game and cheer on her favorite player, Tom Brady. Maureen fully embraced and was very proud of her Irish heritage. One of her fondest memories was traveling to Ireland to take in all that the country has to offer. Maureen cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Maureen was the beloved wife of the late Albert D. Jackson, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Timothy Jackson, Kathleen Rennie and her husband William of Salem, NH, and Maureen Gordon and her husband Matthew of Salem, NH. Maureen was the loving grandmother of William Rennie III, Meaghan Landry and her husband Eric, Christopher Rennie, and the late Kelsey Gordon. She was the cherished great-grandmother of Jackson Landry and Callen Landry. Maureen was the dear sister of Marguerite Jordan, Catherine Jordan, the late John Jordan and his surviving spouse Maureen, the late James Jordan, and the late Kevin Jordan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and several dear friends.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Parish of Methuen. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery of Methuen.
