SPRINGFIELD - Clare M. Leamy, 98, of Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing in Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. She passed into Eternal Life at Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Springfield on March 5, 1919, a beloved daughter of the late John W. Leamy and Elizabeth (Dalton) Leamy. She was raised in Springfield, graduated in 1936 from Sacred Heart High School in Springfield and lived in Springfield for many years. She later lived in Chicopee before moving to Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing. She was last employed as a Quality Control Inspector at Digital Equipment Corporation in Westfield and had previously worked at the former F. W. Sickles Company in Chicopee. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Mona A. Davis; her two brothers, John W. Leamy and Richard F. Leamy; and her nephew, Richard D. Leamy. She leaves her many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins and numerous friends. Her family will receive friends on Friday morning, July 14, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the St. Pierre - Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
