Denise M. Schultz, a lifelong resident of Medford passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by those she loved, July 11, 2017, following a lengthy illness. She was 59. Denise was the beloved wife of David Schultz. Born in Boston she was the daughter of Margaret M. (McLaughlin) Donovan of Medford and the late Timothy E. Donovan.
Denise was raised in Medford and attended St. Joseph School and was a 1976 graduate of the Nazareth Academy. She continued her education at Boston College where she graduated from in 1980. She worked for a number of years as a Broadcast Standards Administrator at WEEI CBS News Radio and later worked for WCVB TV 5 as a Traffic Controller. She also worked for 13 years as a Director of Development and a teacher at St. Joseph School in Medford. Always active, Denise was a past president of the St. Joseph Mother's Club, she participated in the Jingle Bell festivities and together with her family was a member of the Medford Boat Club. She loved fashion and was a Broadway enthusiast. However her greatest joy was her family whom she was totally devoted. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered as a true Hero to her family.
In addition to her beloved husband and mother, Denise is lovingly survived by her children, Carolyn E. Schultz, Amanda M. Schultz, Robert M. Schultz and Katherine A. Schultz, all of Medford. She was the cherished sister of Patrice O'Connor and her husband David of Reading, Matthew Donovan and his wife Lisa of Charlestown, Christopher Donovan and his wife Irene of Medford, Timothy Donovan and his wife Beverly of New Hampshire.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Monday, July 17th, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Calling hours at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home will be held on Sunday from 2 thru 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Denise's memory to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
