Obituary

New Bedford – Andrew H. Stupalski, 84, of Dartmouth died Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Sophie J. (Gadomski) Stupalski.

He was born in Dartmouth, son of the late Stefan and Mary (Fortuna) Stupalski, and was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. A Dartmouth High School graduate of 1940, he was a United States Navy veteran of WWII. While serving his country he received the World War II Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal one bronze star and the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal. Prior to his retirement, he was a general contractor and owner of Andrew H. Stupalski and Son’s of Dartmouth.

Mr. Stupalski enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Dartmouth Saltwater Anglers and also a member of the Polish Business and Professional Club of Fall River and the Royal Travelers of New Bedford.

Including his wife, he is survived by 8 sons: Frederick J. Stupalski of S. Dartmouth, Michael R. Stupalski of Bel Air, MD, Peter J. Stupalski of New Bedford, Stanley E. Stupalski of SC, Walter D. Stupalski of Dartmouth, Edward S. Stupalski of New Bedford and Anthony Stupalski of Acushnet; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew.

He was the father of the late Paul A. Stupalski and brother of the late Stephen Stupalski and Walter S. Stupalski.

Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, October 3, 2005 at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.

Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

Interment will be private.
