Laconia-----Robert Wayne DeMeule 72, of Highland Street, died on Thursday, July 6, 2017 unexpectedly at his home.
Robert was born February 28, 1945 in Lynn, Massachusetts, son to the late Joseph and Frances (Bean) DeMeule. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1963-1967. Robert worked for over 30 years as machinist for General Electric in Lynn, MA before relocating to Laconia. Following retirement, he worked part time for First Student, driving a bus for local school systems for over 10 years.
Robert enjoyed hiking and climbing mountains in his younger years as well as watching sports of all kinds and was an avid Red Sox fan. Above all he enjoyed spending time surrounded by his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Robert loved a good "Burger and Beer" and will be greatly missed by many.
Robert survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra S. (Stille) DeMeule; a son, Wayne R. DeMeule and his wife, Sharlene of Laconia; two daughters, Michele "Shelley" DiTroia and her husband, Edward "Eddie" of Lynn, MA and Wendy Homa and her husband Chris of Tamarac, FL; four grandchildren, Robert WayneDeMeule of Laconia, Bailey Homa, of Tamarac, FL, Annie Thibault of Peabody MA, and Brianna Wood of Laconia; Two brothers, George DeMille and his wife, Sandra of Lynn, MA and David DeMeule; three sisters, June Bursey, Arlene DeMeule-Grant, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his sister, Carol Roberts.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
