In Taunton, July 8, 2017 Janet Anne (Longo) Silva, passed away at home suddenly at the age of 78. Janet was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Frank & Elvira (Viscusi) Longo. Janet resided all her life in Taunton. She was educated in Taunton schools and graduated from Taunton High School. Janet worked as a computer programmer for several local companies. She was an avid reader and enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. Janet is survived by her loving children, Lynne Vickery and her husband Edward of Taunton, James Silva and his wife Susan of MI, Julie Silva of Taunton and Jeffrey Silva and his wife Heidi of Taunton. She also leaves her brother Frank Longo and his wife Wendy of Plymouth. Janet is survived by her beloved grandchildren, Eryn, Brett, Briahana, Brandon and Cole and her two great grandchildren Ryleigh and Ayva. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. Taunton, MA 02780 on Wednesday, July 12th at 11 am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours prior to the service from 9:30-11 am. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
