Jeannette F. Costa passed away at the Woburn Nursing Center. She was 89. Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Rosaria (Rubini) Giagonelli. Jeannette worked as a stitcher throughout her life and enjoyed a long career at Mario’s Sportswear, before her retirement. She lived many years in Boston’s North End, Medford, Florida and finally settled at her daughter’s home in Billerica. A fun loving woman, she enjoyed bowling, bingo in Stoneham and loved having a goodtime with her family and friends.
The beloved wife of the late Guy J. Costa who passed away in 1985, she was a devoted mother of Christine Antaya of Georgia, Linda Barr and her husband Joseph “Chuck” of Billerica, Rosemary Costa of Florida, Lucille Costa and her husband Jim Oilschlager of Ohio. She was a loving grandmother to Michael Antaya, Christopher Barr, Stephanie Antaya and Cheryl Barr and also leaves her beloved great-grandchildren, Haley, Trey and Ava.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to visit from 2 – 6 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday July 10th with a service of remembrance at 5:30 PM.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Jeannette’s name to the M.S.P.C.A - Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
