McKINNEY, Elizabeth Ann of Dedham, July 6, 2017. The third oldest of nine children born to Dr. and Mrs. Harold McKinney, Elizabeth was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. During her long career, she held many positions with Special Services, a division of the U.S. Army. She served in France, Germany and Vietnam. Betty has sung with the Handel & Haydn Society, the Dedham Choral Society and St. Mary of the Assumption choir in Dedham.
Betty was a devoted aunt and loved by her many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister Geraldine McKinney of Santa Fe, New Mexico, John McKinney and his wife Jean of Dedham, Richard McKinney and his wife Heather of Dedham and brother-in-law Feliciano J. Gonzalez-Arbona of West Roxbury.
Visitation at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Monday morning, July 10 from 8:30-9:30am prior to Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Dedham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice in Elizabeth's memory would be greatly appreciated.
