Margie Sheffield, 47, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died September 28, 2005, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 30, 2005 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Nancy Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sheffield was born April 7, 1958, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Nelson Riley Mobley and Doris Mobley Oliver. She was raised by Margaret Shedd and the late C.M. Shedd. Mrs. Sheffield lived in the community all of her life, graduating from Fitzgerald High School in 1976. She received her degree in Social Science from Ben Hill-Irwin Technical School. Mrs. Sheffield was a former Department Manager at Walmart in the Health and Beauty Department. She attended St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Sheffield is survived by her husband: Ronald Sheffield of Fitzgerald; daughter: Melissa Joy Thompson of Bowden, GA; grandchildren: Jordan Thompson and Cheyenne Thompson, both of Bowden; mother: Doris Mobley Oliver of Orlando; adopted mother: Margaret Shedd of Sebring, FL; brothers: Rodney and David Mobley, both of Orlando, FL; sisters: Karen Carson and Susan Walker, both of Orlando, Debbie Motes and Ann Byrd, both of St. Cloud, Fl, Lori Byrd and Pat Palmer, both of Orlando and Linda Laux of Sebring, FL
