TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Josephine H. (Babine) Manning, age 93, a former resident of Burlington, died peacefully at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford, Sunday evening, July 2nd. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Manning Sr., and also mother of the late John F. Manning Jr.
Mrs. Manning was born in Boston in 1923, a daughter of the late James and Helen (Doucette) Babine, and raised in East Boston and Chelsea. She married John and moved to Burlington to raise her family. She lived in Arizona and returned to Lowell after the death of her husband.
She leaves five children, Linda Patterson and her husband William, Thomas Manning, Valerie Manning-Jones and her husband Kevin, Mary Carroll and her husband Bob, Rose Arguin; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Pitts.
Visiting hours Thursday, July 6, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. Her funeral will begin Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury.
