Louise (Wheaton) Fafard of Abington passed away peacefully on June 29, 2017 at the age of 85.
Louise was the third of four children of the late Retis Wheaton and Charlotte (Bent) (Wheaton) Stewart, and sister of Bedford Wheaton of Brockton, the late Shirley Leonard of Abington, and Charlotte Svirsky of E. Bridgewater.
Louise lived in a number of towns in the area early in life, settling in Abington after marrying her dedicated husband, the late Ed Fafard, in 1953. Louise graduated from Abington High School and worked as a bookkeeper at various businesses in the South Shore as well as secretary to the president at Rockland Trust at one point in addition to a full-time housewife in between. She was also an avid member and officer of the Grange, the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, and their round and square dancing clubs - she and Ed’s favorite activity.
Louise is survived by her children Steven E. Fafard and wife Christie of Los Angeles, CA, Thomas A. Fafard and wife Lynne Ehrlich of Orange County, CA, and Joyce L. Fafard and partner David Randall of Braintree, MA. In addition to a number of nieces and nephews, Louise has four loving grandchildren: Samantha McPherson, Michelle Fafard, Alicia McPherson, and Alexandra Fafard all of Los Angeles, CA.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Friday, July 7th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, (Rte 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, MA. Louise’s funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 8th at 10:00 am in the St. John's Episcopal Church at 322 S. Franklin St, in Holbrook, MA, with interment at Mt Vernon Cemetery in Abington, MA.
