Frances N. (Lowther) MacCollum of Woburn died on Wednesday, June 28, at Arnold House of Stoneham. Born and raised in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Isabelle (Devanna) Lowther. Frances worked for many years in the admissions office at Tufts University, and moved to Woburn in 2013.
She was the beloved wife of the late Arnold MacCollum, and the devoted mother of Laurie Rosa and her fiance' Robert Nelson of Woburn, Linda Rickerson and her husband Dave of Coral Gables, Florida, and Carole MacCollum and her fiance' Jeffrey Stamper of Wells, Maine. Frances was the loving grandmother of Christopher Rosa of Allston, and Shawna Russell and her husband William of Mansfield, Texas, and the loving great grandmother of Redford and Bernnie Russell. She was the sister of Priscilla Tringale of Woburn and her late husband Joseph, and the late Ruth Lowther, Thea Cormier and her husband Arthur. Frances is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, July 6, at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Wednesday, July 5, from 4 through 8 PM.
