Dr. Raymond B. Fournier, DDS, 91, of Fall River, peacefully passed away at home on Friday, June 30, 2017 with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Therese M. (Pelletier) Fournier.
Dr. Fournier was born in Fall River, son of the late Wilfred and Lila B. (Prataboire) Fournier and was a longtime resident of the city. He was a 1944 graduate of the former Prevost High School. He later attended UMASS Amherst and Georgetown University graduating in 1952. A veteran of WWII, he served in China Burma-India Theater in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He worked as a self-employed dentist until his retirement and was a member of the Fall River Dental Society, the MA Dental Society and the American Dental Society. He was a communicant of St. Bernadette’s Parish, formerly Notre Dame Church in Fall River and was a former charter member of the Quequechan Club, Fall River.
Dr. Fournier is survived by many nieces and nephews and was the brother of the late Roger G. Fournier.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at St. Bernadette’s Parish in Fall River at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Wednesday, at the Potter Funeral Home, from 9-10 A.M., prior to the Mass.
Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
