Angelina L. Lund 103, of Whitman Massachusetts, died on June 28th peacefully at Pope Rehab.
Born in Dorchester in 1913, she was the daughter of Guiliano and Ida Pozzi.
Wife to the late Roland S. Lund and pre deceased by son her Roland Jr.
She is survived by her children Judith Keeley of Rhode Island, Martin and Wanda Lund of Whitman and Christine Lund of Whitman. Her family grew to include three Keeley grandchildren Ann Marie Futterman, Carollyn Carlson and Patrick M. Keeley, two Lund grandchildren, Marie A Newton and Martin D. Lund Jr. Angelina loved the years that brought her great grandchildren. These include nine great grandsons Seth and Shawn Keeley, Patrick Carlson along with Dante, Vincent, Eric and Roman Lund and Steven and Christopher Osborne. She was very close to her two nieces, Gloria Delise and Cynthia Morrow.
Angelina grew up in a time when things were hard. She loved and helped her family, at times being the sole provider. Her trade school education came in very handy during those lean years.
Angelina loved her city and walked almost every inch of it. She was also a founding member of the Pioneer Club at the Denison House that later would evolve into the Dorchester House. After raising her family she later retired as a teacher’s aid from the City of Boston schools.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday July 5 at 12:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10 AM – 12 PM.
