Jeanette M. Johnson, a lifelong resident of Woburn passed away peacefully June 29, 2017, at the Care One Nursing Facility of Wilmington following a lengthy illness. She was 87 years of age. Janet was a 1947 graduate of Woburn High School. Shortly after graduation she secured a job working in guest relations at the Parker House, a job she loved and talked about often. Janet's home was the hub of activity for the family. She was always hosting the holidays and pool parties every year. She was a talented cook and was happiest when surrounded by her family and sharing her culinary delights with them. She also enjoyed traveling over the years to some of her favorite destinations, Puerto Rico and Florida. She also looked forward to spending family vacations during the summer at Wells Beach, Maine, for many years. Janet's strong Catholic faith was a big part of her life. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony Church where she was a member of the Church Choir for 25 years. She was also very involved for many years with the St. Anthony Festival together with her late husband, since its inception.
Janet is survived by her devoted children, George Johnson and his wife Bonnie, Karen Carpenter and her husband Decky, Jim Johnson and his wife Mary, Janet Quigley and her husband John, all of Woburn. She was the loving "Nana J" to Olivia, Donald, Taylor, Catie, Abigail, Lauren, Steven and Lauren, and great grandchildren Devyn and Khloe.
