Jay H. Goldman 73, a longtime resident of Brockton died June 28, 2017 in Brigham and Women’s Hospital Boston. Jay was born, raised and educated in Troy NY and was a son of the late Samuel Goldman and Claire (Metevia) Walsh. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1963-68.
Jay was a member of the Brockton Council on Aging, where he enjoyed many hours playing pool. He also had a passion for bowling, puzzles, cards, mind teasers and entertained himself watching Judge Judy. He will be remembered for his silent nature, strong opinions and his dry sense of humor.
Jay is survived by his wife Catherine A. (McLoughlin) Goldman, his children; Karen J. Payne of Raynham and Ericka B. Goldman of E. Bridgewater, his siblings; David Goldman and wife Julie of TN, Marty Goldman of NV and Jerry Hoffman and wife Suzi of ME; his 3 grandchildren Cody and Caitlin Rau and Brianna Payne and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Eloise Neville.
Visiting hours will be in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton on Sunday from 2-5pm. Funeral home service Monday at 11am with private burial to follow.
