Marguerite J. (Sherman) Foley, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 29th. Born in Boston 90 years ago, she was raised and lived in Dorchester for many years before moving to Milton in 1962. Marguerite was a Lunch Lady for the Milton Public Schools for 17 years, retiring in 2001, she was a past member of the Milton Catholic Daughter’s Bowling League. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Foley and devoted mother of Robert M. Foley and his wife Paula of Carver, Linda S. Berry and her husband Richard of Quincy, Carole L. Foley of Stoughton, Dawn M. Hurley of Pembroke, Julie A. Letendre and her husband Robert of Westport and Janet L. Foley of Milton. Sister of Rita E. Day of W. Roxbury and John J. Sherman of VA and the late Lillian Pernock, Robert Sherman, Helen Kammer, Esther Kallenberg, Marie Butler and William Sherman. Also survived by 5 grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton, Thursday morning at 10. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Wednesday 4 to 8 pm.
