Mrs. Carol A. (MacKenzie) Ferreira, of Taunton entered into rest Tuesday, June 27 in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, following a brief illness. She was the former wife of Isidro Ferreira. She was born 70 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late George and Anna (Sorochinski) MacKenzie. She was educated in Taunton and was a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, Carol had been employed in the Mail Dept. of the Ad-A-Day Company in Taunton for 10 years. She enjoyed socializing with her friends at Dunkin’ Donuts, watching old TV shows, and spending time with her family, especially with her best friend and granddaughter, Brandy. Carol was a member of the Winthrop Street Baptist Church.
She leaves: 2 sons: Michael Ferreira and his wife, Debra of Stoughton, and Paul Ferreira of Fall River; 2 daughters: Laurie Cabral and her husband, Gilbert of Taunton, and Tina Ferreira and her companion, Daniel Daugherty of New Bedford; 2 brothers: Robert Chase and his wife, Jean of Taunton, and James MacKenzie of Fla.; 3 sisters: Elizabeth Brezinski and her husband, Louis of Taunton, Ruth Lewis of Taunton, and June LaPointe and her husband, Donald of Norton; 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours wil be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, July 7 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. A Prayer Service will follow the Visiting Hours, Friday at 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
