John S. Travis, Jr. Age 89. Husband of the late Rose(Michael)Travis. Residence 655 No. Main St., Fall River, MA. Died Monday at Wedgemere Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Taunton. Born in Fall River, MA. Son of the late John S. Travis, Sr. and the late Marianna (Cordeiro) Travis. He was a lifelong resident of Fall River. Before retiring, he was a Loom Fixer in the Border City Mills. He was a member of the Border City Athletic Club. He was a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
He is survived by Three Sons: Richard J. Travis of Jacksonville, FL, Edward M. Travis of Fall River, MA and Michael L. Travis of San Antonio, TX. One Sister: Bella Correia of Fall River, MA. Five Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Manuel, Joseph, and Leo Travis,and Mary Benevides.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Friday at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St.Michael Church, Essex St. at 9 A.M.
