Marco Giacalone of Medford died on Wednesday, June 28, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Born in Boston's North End, he was raised in Medford, son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Firicano) Giacalone.
Marco was the beloved husband of Teresa (Gerardi) Giacalone, and the devoted father of Joseph Giacalone and his wife Lori of North Reading, and Diego Giacalone of Medford. He was the loving grandfather of Isabella, Olivia and Joseph D. Giacalone, and brother of Pasqualina Firicano of Boston, and Jody Giacalone of Florida.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Saturday, July 1 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Friday, June 30, from 4 through 8 PM.
