TEWKSBURY - Rose A. (Marcellino) Ennis, age 84, died Monday, Sept. 26, at the Boston
Home in Dorchester, after a courageous fifty year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was the
wife of the late Alfred E. Ennis.
She was born in Cambridge, June 7, 1921, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Angelina (Magri)
Marcellino. She was raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge and Latin High School.
Following her marriage, she lived in Arlington the greater part of her life.
During WWII, she was active as a singer at the U.S.O. Club in Cambridge.
She was a member of the A.T.O.M.S. Society in Medford, a support group for Multiple Sclerosis
families.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn Fowler and her husband Paul of
Tewksbury; a son Alfred E. Ennis Jr. of California; a sister, Connie Dionne of Watertown; two
grandsons and their spouses, Douglas and Christine Fowler of Billerica, Kenneth and AnneMarie
Fowler of Tewksbury; two great grandchildren, Michael and Alexandra; a devoted lifelong friend,
Tonia Williams of Cambridge; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was also sister of the late Vincent Marcellino.
Relatives and friends will be received Thursday morning, Sept. 29, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. in
the funeral home. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11:30
a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main st. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. Following cremation, interment
will be in Cambridge Cemetery. At her request, please omit flowers. Memorials to the Boston
