Kevin R. Thayer, 38, died Wednesday, September 21 at the Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI after a short illness. Born in Brockton, he attended Brockton Schools and Massasoit Community College. He was a longtime resident of Brockton, before moving to Michigan 1 year ago. He worked as a builder and refurbisher of silos. In his free time, Mr. Thayer enjoyed playing pool and watching the Patriots.
He is survived by his children: Keith A. Thibideau, Jane Marie Thayer, Kevin R. and Nicholas all of Douglas, MA. He was the son of Janice M. (Audlee) Jacques and her husband Earl of Brockton and David S. Thayer and his wife Joan of Brockton. He also leaves his siblings, David S Thayer of Raynham, Colby A. Thayer, Pamela H. Thayer, Kathleen M. Thayer and Adam J. Thayer all of Woonsocket, RI and the late Mark W. Thayer. He was the fiancé of Stephanie Baldwin and her children Jonathan, Jeffrey and Jasmine. Kevin is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday Evening, September 25 at 6PM. Visiting Hours prior to service from 3-6 PM. Donations in Kevin’s name may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Clinic, 1 Joslin Pl., Boston, 02215. Burial will be private.
