Erik S. Levangie, age 41, of Brockton, died peacefully June 20, 2017. Born and raised in Brockton he was the son of Laurie J. (Corcoran) Levangie of Brockton and the late Ronald F. Levangie. Erik attended New England Village, Solar Wellness Center and the Efron Center. Always happy and sociable, Erik loved time spent with his family, especially his Mom, and friends. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, cars, car rides and traveling on trains and buses. He was an avid Dukes of Hazard and Red Sox fan, a television buff and enjoyed vacations to Disneyworld and the Bahamas.
In addition to his mother, Erik is survived by two sisters Sharon R. Pakyar of Springfield, VA, Janet E. Tevis of Frederick, MD, and a brother Dana E. Levangie of Avon. He was the stepbrother of Robert Levangie of Brockton, and Kim and Ronald Levangie of Jackson, MS. Erik is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces, a great nephew and many cousins.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday 4-7pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Avon Baptist Church, 119 N. Main Street, Avon, Saturday at 10 am, followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Donations in Erik’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
