GREENVILLE, RI – Margaret “Peg” (Cover) Noble, age 75, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her residence in Wayland, MA.
Peg was born in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of the late Randall and Ruth (Clark) Cover. She was raised in Casper, WY, where she graduated from Natrona County High School in 1959. She married John Noble, originally from Lyman, WY, in 1962 and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in mathematics in 1963. After raising her family in Macomb, IL, and earning her MBA from Western Illinois University in 1983, Peg went on to earn her Ph.D in operations management from Indiana University in 1991. Peg started her career as a university professor at Ohio State University and later joined Bryant University in Smithfield, RI, where she earned tenure. Along the way, Peg became a gourmet chef, an accomplished painter and silversmith, a sky-diver, a rescuer of second-hand dogs, an entrepreneur, a dedicated educator, an international traveler and, above all else, a devoted mother and grandmother. She had a deep compassion for all living things and an uncommon ability to find beauty in an ordinary day.
Peg’s family adored her, and those who survive her have many warm memories of her. Her son Charles, Seattle WA, remembers family nights at the drive-in, as well as the happiness brought to his wife Andrea by family trips with Peg to incredible beaches. Her daughter Jennifer Camacho, Natick, MA, has fond memories of ice-skating with her mother and family on the LaMoine River, and will always remember her mother’s words of advice and support that inspired her throughout her life. Jennifer’s husband David enjoys thinking of Peg’s visits to their home and how she loved to sit outside on the deck with her family. Her granddaughter, Tracy Daugherty will forever fondly remember watching humpback whales off Cape Cod; grandson Jonathan will never forget how delicious her cookies always turned out; grandson Charles Jr. recalls visiting lighthouses with Peg and watching home movies together; grandson Luke cherishes their time spent exploring the shores of First Encounter Beach; and grandson Alex Camacho loved the many Thanksgiving brunches and Christmas dinners they shared together. Peg’s brother Jerry Cover, Casper, WY, remembers their summers exploring Casper Mountain. Peg’s mother and father, Ruth and Randall Cover, and her brother, Jack Cover, Wichita Falls, TX, preceded her in death but were never far from her thoughts.
Peg will be remembered at a Funeral Service to be held July 6, 2017 at 3:00 P.M at First United Methodist Church Casper., 332 E 2nd St., Casper, Wyoming, 82601. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, E. 4th Street, Casper, WY. Relatives and friends may visit the website of the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA to leave a message of condolence for the family.
