Obituary

Grace Mildred “Monty” (Aalders) Joyce, 99, of Needham, died Sun Sept. 25, 2005 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Needham Campus.
Born in Nova Scotia she came to the U.S. in the 1920’s settling in Wakefield. She lived in Newton before moving to Needham in 1961. She was an active member of both St. John’s Episcopal Church in Newtonville, and Christ Episcopal Church in Needham. She served on the Fair Committee, and Altar Guild of both churches, and had been the Directress of the Altar Guild at St. John’s Church for many years. She had worked as a lighting consultant for Watertown Electric and had worked in the coffee shop at the Glover Memorial Hospital in Needham.
Wife of the late T. Arnold Joyce, she is survived by her daughters Diane Joyce of Needham, and Betsy DeWolf and her husband Daniel L. DeWolf of Holliston, and her granddaughter Katey DeWolf of Framingham.
A graveside service will be held on Wed Sept 28 at Noon at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield followed by a Memorial Service in St. John’s Episcopal Church 297 Lowell Ave. Newtonville at 2 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A reception will follow in the church hall.
