Warren, Michael I., 87, was called home June 19, 2017 in Louisville.
He was born to Joseph and Mary (Mattingly) Warren November 26, 1929 in Lebanon, KY.
Michael was a proud U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean war, he attended Incarnation Catholic Church, and belonged to the American Legion and Central Cardinal Club. Michael worked for many years with Louisville Cycle, and also Vance’s True Value Hardware & Brownsboro Hardware.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann (Sturgeon); a step granddaughter, Shelley; a son in law, Gary Brown; and a brother in law, Bob Gill.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Steve Warren (Kae), Cheri Brown, Rob Warren (Terri), and Cindy Sutton (Robby); six grandchildren: Geoffrey, Mathew, Lindsey, Laura, Kathryn, and Robert; five step grandchildren: Shawn, Megan, Sheila, Shere, and Shannon; seven great-grandchildren; and 12 step great-grandchildren; two sisters: Theresa Gill and BettyAnn Bradley (Bob).
A Funeral Mass will be Friday at 11:00 AM at Incarnation Catholic Church 2229 Lower Hunters Trace. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday 1:00-8:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
