David J. "D.J." Insley, III, 37 of New Bedford died Sunday June 18, 2017 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in New Hampshire.
Born in Hampton, Virginia, the son of Diane (Rogissart) and David J. Insley, Jr., he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
D.J. was employed as a foreman for Feeney Brothers Utility Services.
He was very active in his children's activities, and had been a coach for the Whaling City Baseball League, the Baystate Girls Softball League, and AAU Soccer.
He is survived by his parents; two children, Alyssa Insley and David J. "D.J." Insley, IV; Autumn Oliveira who was like a daughter to him; his siblings, Karen Brown and her fiancé Scott Brager, and Michael Clark; his grandmothers, Martha Dion and her husband Richard, and Madeleine Rogissart; his niece and nephews, Tyler, Robert, and Michael Brown, and Hannah Clark; his great-niece, Elizabeth Brown; and his great-nephew, Michael Brown, Jr.
He was the grandson of the late Marcel Rogissart and David J. Insley, Sr.
His Funeral will be held on Friday at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM.
