R. Marlene "Molly" Nolan, age 70, of 10 Noank-Ledyard Road, died Monday morning at Mystic Manor.
Mrs. Nolan was born in McKeesport, PA on March 4, 1935 the daughter of Kenneth R. and Ruth N. (Ricketts) Harrison. She was a 1953 graduate of McKeesport High School.
A resident of Mystic since 1970, she was employed as Registrar at Pequot Medical Center of Lawrence & Memorial Hospital for 32 years before her retirement in 2002. Known for her vibrant personality, she was also a life-long Steelers Fan.
She was married to Dennis J. Nolan in Winchester, VA on September 10, 1955 and together they enjoyed 50 years of marriage. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 6 children, Denise Kapolowicz of Lakeland, FL; Timothy Nolan of Providence, Robert Nolan of Groton, Tracy Massey of Mystic, Dennis Nolan Jr. of Westerly, and Kelly Nolan of Mystic; a sister, Carolyn Engelbrink of Houston, TX, and 12 grandchildren.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Wednesday from 6-8pm.
A Graveside Funeral service will be conducted at Elm Grove Cemetery, Rte. 27, Mystic on Thursday at 10am. The Rev. Mark Porizky, Pastor of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Groton, will officiate.
