Francis Landry 80, of Brockton died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 18, 2017. He was the beloved fiancé of Nancy Hamilton of Brockton. Francis adored Nancy and they have been together for 20 years.
Francis was educated at Norfolk County Agricultural School in Walpole, MA. Francis was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served honorably aboard U.S.S. Leyte. Francis was dedicated truck driver for 62 years. He worked for Stop and Shop and Aero Trucking. He has worked for Cohenno Trucking in Stoughton for the past thirty-two years. Francis loved his family, friends, cats, Kenworth and Mac trucks, John Deere tractors, and good books.
He leaves two sons, John F. Landry and his wife, Kelly, of Norwood and James M. Landry and his wife, Jennifer, of Milford; and a daughter, Cheryl A. Frasca and her husband, Michael, of Norwood; his devoted sister Connie Omdahl and her husband John, of Warren, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Michael, Christina, Jacalyn, Zachary, and Sean; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Alice Landry, sister Louise Landry Candela, and brother Roland Landry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday June 22 at 11 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Medway. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
A time of visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway.
